Can Vscan Air be used in Ambulances and Air Ambulances like the Vscan Extend*?

Vscan Air conforms to multiple standards and tests for air/land ambulance use including the following safety standards:

  • IEC 60601-1-12: use in the emergency medical services environment
  • EN 13718-1: for medical devices used in air ambulances
  • EN 1789: road ambulances

  • RTCA DO-160G Section 7 Operational Shocks and Crash Safety
  • RTCA DO-160G Section 8.8.3 Random Test Procedure for Category U2 - Unknown Helicopter Frequencies 
  • RTCA DO-160G Section 20 Radio Frequency Susceptibility Category R
  • RTCA DO-160G Section 21 Category M Electromagnetic Emissions
