Does the Vscan Air probe heat up while scanning? Print
Modified on: Thu, 3 Jun, 2021 at 7:02 AM
- The miniaturization of devices with beam-forming technology within the probe results in heat production during scanning.
- The Vscan Air probe has smart thermal management that makes small changes during long scans to optimize power consumption with minimal impact to imaging performance to enable continuous scanning for 50 minutes. It is recommended to freeze the image when not actively scanning and minimize time in color flow mode to keep the probe temperatures low.
- Refer to the User Manual à ‘Thermal management’ for more details.
